Terms of use
Last updated 10 October 2026
These terms cover abtune.com and ABTune's accounts on X, Instagram and TikTok, run by David (github.com/mrdushidush). Using them means you accept these terms.
Free, and as is
ABTune is free. It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind: playlists are suggestions worked out from song data, and the site may be slow, wrong or offline. To the fullest extent the law allows, David isn't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using ABTune.
Use it fairly
Don't attack, overload or scrape the site, and don't make up its counts. One visitor may ask for 20 playlists and send 30 counts a minute; past that, requests are refused for a while. For heavier use, run your own copy: the code is open source under the MIT license, and self-hosting takes a few minutes with Docker.
Music data
Song information comes from MusicBrainz, ListenBrainz and AcousticBrainz (MetaBrainz Foundation), under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 US, which doesn't allow commercial use. ABTune doesn't host or play music. Song, artist and album names belong to their owners. ABTune isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any artist or label, or by Spotify, Apple, YouTube, TuneMyMusic or the MetaBrainz Foundation.
Your results
Your music personality card and your playlists are yours to share. A share link holds your taste profile, so anyone you send it to can open the same playlist.
ABTune's social accounts
Posts and replies there may be written and sent by an automated assistant, checked by limits in its code rather than by a person each time. Every automated reply ends with "(ABTune automated reply)". Nothing the accounts post is an endorsement by any artist they name.
Privacy
What ABTune collects, and what it doesn't: abtune.com/privacy.
Changes and contact
These terms may change. When they do, the date above moves, and the history is public on GitHub. Using ABTune after a change means you accept it. Questions: mrdushidush@gmail.com.
